I founded GYDI to help students like me turn big global questions into small, useful actions. I’m a junior at Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia
My interests live where food systems, cities, and everyday life meet: from my grandfather’s rice terraces in rural China to coffee plots I worked on in Colombia, to bike‑and‑walk projects in my neighborhood.
I write youth policy briefs, host nature‑connected Community Circles, and translate big ideas into step‑by‑step projects any school can run. I work bilingually (Mandarin/English) and I’m learning Spanish. When I’m not reading or writing, you’ll probably find me biking, woodworking, or trading book recommendations. If GYDI helps one more student feel brave enough to start, that’s a win.
